The number of streamlines reaching the inflow and outflow plane (dotted white line in figure 2 and 3) increased for each correction method in comparison to the uncorrected data. In general only 50% or less of the emitted streamlines reached the inflow or outflow plane. Advanced Quantitative Flow and Wall Shear Stress Analysis at 3T: 2D Vs 3D Time-Resolved MR Velocity Mapping

Introduction: Time-resolved (CINE) phase contrast (PC) MRI permits the assessment of blood flow within entire 3D vascular structures [1, 2]. The resulting high-dimensional datasets (3 spatial dimensions, 3 velocity directions, and time) require new visualization and quantification methods to derive reliable clinical parameters. In this context, an advanced flow quantification tool was developed...

Hadamard-Transform k-t PCA for Cine 3D Velocity Vector Field Mapping of Carotid Flow

Introduction Secondary flow patterns in the carotid bifurcation have been found to promote distinct wall shear stress configurations [1]. To study these effects, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has been utilized with vessel geometries derived from anatomical MR data [2]. Despite the success of CFD methods providing results at very high resolutions, there is a desire to derive flow patterns d...

Optimized co-registration method of Spinal cord MR Neuroimaging data analysis and application for generating multi-parameter maps

Introduction: The purpose of multimodal and co-registration In MR Neuroimaging is to fuse two or more sets images (T1, T2, fMRI, DTI, pMRI, …) for combining the different information into a composite correlated data set in order to visualization, re-alignment and generating transform to functional Matrix. Multimodal registration and motion correction in spinal cord MR Neuroimag...

Three Dimensional Localization of an Unknown Target Using Two Heterogeneous Sensors

Heterogeneous wireless sensor networks consist of some different types of sensor nodes deployed in a particular area. Different sensor types can measure different quantity of a source and using the combination of different measurement techniques, the minimum number of necessary sensors is reduced in localization problems. In this paper, we focus on the single source localization in a heterogene...
